Positive Hold through Turns
-
Center Fin is same size as side fins which creates a balanced positive hold and is a good complement to powerful surfing and boards that utilize heavy concave bottoms.
No worries if you have FCS II. These work amazing with the infill tab kit which enables traditional based FCS fins to fit extremely flush with no leading edge.
SIZE: Large (150 - 200+ lb | 68 - 98+ kg) Height: 4.68 in, 119 mm
Base: 4.62 in, 117 mm
TODD’S TAKE:
- MEDIUM - LARGE TEMPLATE || this is a really drivey fin but still has a lot of pivot and release in the lip but will also hold a rail really good in a carve, so it’s a really good all around versatile fin // BASE 4.60” HEIGHT 4.75” The best way to tap in and harness speed is by using fins that have the right amount of base to create leverage and drive. I design a lot of drive into my boards using fast rockers and concaves that force the water through the hull contours of the board....this efficient water flow creates both speed and grip - so you don't have to use small fins to reduce drag to try and create speed.
More positive hold and drive off the bottom with springier release out of turns; anyone and everyone will notice the difference.
RTM HEXCORE
The Resin Transfer Method . . .
Allows us to construct a composite fin, inside which hexagonal pieces of lightweight cremate displace fiberglass and resin.
The result: a fin that is up to 25% lighter than a normal fiberglass fin and has a better flex characteristic than stock plastic fins or fiberglass fins. Positive Flex + Amazing Drive.
FLAT FOIL
Flat foiled fins break free sooner, and are better at controlling speed. Often surfers prefer them in fast powerful surf where they do not need to create additional speed. If you have muscle memory from riding glass-ons, flat foiled fins will feel the closest.
