New for 2018, a high performance shortboard featuring increased bend in the rocker in the center of the board with a straighter rail line through the tail making for a board that will surf with power in the pocket, keeping water off the deck in fully committed carves. Our latest recommendation for a good waves / travel ferrari.
This is a new board model that reflects an ideological concept I've been contemplating lately during long shaping stints. It emanates from an ancient word, shalom; a word I've heard before but never really knew what it meant so I did a bit of research and discovered that it's kind of like peace ✌️... the definition of peace means the abscense of conflict. Shalom is defined as perfect peace not through a lack of conflict, but as in all things operating in perfect harmony... as in the way they were originally intended. It made me think of the decisions we make every day. Whether we put ourselves first and demand outcomes a certain way; sometimes even by trying to put down others to get ouselves ahead...and our actions towards other people...do we desire to see the best brought out in others? Or do we try to keep people down by the use of our actions and our words? Some say the fittest survive, kill or be killed...but where does that leave us as a whole in the end? I think we have two choices all the time at any given time...to be a fragrance of life that builds others up or a force for destruction that tears others down. It's as if everyone throughout all history is connected; is a part of an immense instrument...each of us a string that echoes a certain reverberation with each thought and action we pursue. Those reverberations echo out and ripple an effect towards peace, towards shalom, or towards chaos...and everyone effects the tune that plays as a whole. This board is a latest attempt at a tune that wants to find that perfect balance of design elements that works to bring a note of shalom echoing into the future..
