Product Specs

This board combines a modernized, sleeked up retro fish outline with a progressive rocker and one-of-a-kind freaky hull contours. Glide or gouge, float or carve, crouch low with five on the nose, or stand tall and arch the back.

**We also still offer Todd's more traditional retro fish which incorporates a versatile rocker and hull contours on a traditional fish outline. Utilizing a subtle increase in rocker from nose to tail, and slightly deeper single to double concaves, with a touch less spiral vee running off the tail; this board has quickly become a new favorite for speedy fish enthusiasts who wish to find a new dynamic responsiveness through turns. Old world meets new.

  • Dimensions: choose from popular dims in drop down options
  • Tail Shape: deep swallow
  • Construction: customizable
  • Fins: twinny/quad option - fins sold separately
  • Art: Crimson Red resin tint w/ cutlaps (optional)
***Please note that epoxy resin is not clear like polyester resin. The foam structure & S-glass used in fabrication of our epoxies yields a stronger more durable product. Due to these factors, traditional full length resin tints with cutlaps have a much more mottled, hazy and organic final aesthetic than traditional polyester/pu boards do. The edges do not cut as clean & you can see the fiberglass & patches more visibly. Resin tints on poly/pu boards appear more clear and smooth, while the epoxies appear more organic & a bit more rough. Many people like this look as it conveys the nature of the handmade, high grade composite components of the boards. However we like to make surfers considering an epoxy resin tint board aware of this distinctive appearance. You will notice there are very few places in the world where you can order a custom epoxy surfboard with traditional resin tints. We are stoked to make this option available to you. If you like a more organic look you'll be delighted. If you're looking for a spray booth style, more plastic wrap look you won't dig it.

Here's a one minute snippet of our new 16 minute short film about the newly redeemed and refashioned Postmodern Retroactive Fish.

For the full discussion, you can watch the 16 minute version to the right above ... and find out all about the surprising adventure that changed Todd’s perspective on a classic design.

Set down squat down or lie down, cuz here’s 16 minutes or so about a surprising adventure that changed Todd’s perspective on combining modern high performance design features with classic fish concepts. It's all talkin' and board flippin' from the shapeshifter's private room, but we think you'll enjoy this little fishy's diatribe almost as much as riding one.

They’re back ’cause they’re fast. This is an updated version of the original “Fish” design. I’ve incorporated a modernized single-to-double concave-to-accelerated spiral vee bottom, and blended it with the original retro outline, rocker, and thickness flow…why? for the enjoyment of hair-raising speed runs. Check out the website to watch streaming video of this twinny fanging its way through the lineup.

Also available with quad setup. By adding another fin over on your rail, you increase the leverage placed on your fins when going into a turn; this equates to more drive and more speed when you put this puppy into drive – a beautiful thing.

Ideal conditions: ankle high to shoulder high weak waves.
Experience: intermediate through advanced
Designed for: super speeding gutless junk
